The City of Commerce is seeking proposals, including statements of qualifications, from highly qualified firms interested in providing design and construction services for the City of Commerce LNG/LCNG Fueling Station Project and for operating and maintaining the facility.     

Project Location:  Los Angeles County Sanitation District (LACSD) Waste-to-Energy Facility located at 5926 Sheila Street, Commerce, California  90040.

Project Overview:  Design, permit, construct, and start up an LNG/LCNG facility for use in refueling municipal and other vehicles. This is a federally funded project.  The estimated construction cost is $1,300,000.  Attached is the project RFP, including site plan and proposed facility layout.  

There will be a MANDATORY pre-bid meeting on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 10:00AM at the proposed facility location on 5926 Sheila Street, Commerce, CA 90040.  Please RSVP in writing via e-mail to Danilo Batson, Assistant Director of Public Services at danilob@ci.commerce.ca.us.

View Street Median Imporvement Project RFP

THE CITY OF COMMERCE, on behalf of the Community Development Department herein called Owner, invites sealed proposals from licensed landscape contractors to install new landscaping and irrigation system at five (5) street medians located at various locations in the City of Commerce, as specified in Appendix “A”. The Contractor shall provide all parts, labor, materials, tools, rentals, equipment, disposal, transportation, supervision and incidentals necessary for a turnkey project to include but not limited to theplans and specifications. All work is to be performed in strict accordance with Appendix A.

Project Location: Various locations in the City of Commerce, California

Estimated Project Cost: $45,000

PROPOSALS – Each proposal shall be in accordance with these Plans & Specifications as prepared by the City of Commerce Community Development Department.

BIDDER’S CONFERENCE – A MANDATORY Bidder’s Conference shall be held on Monday September 15, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to familiarize him/herself with the project. The Contractor shall be responsible for the accuracy of all measurements.

LOCATION – Commerce City Hall, 2535 Commerce Way, Commerce, CA 90040, (Meet at front entrance to City Hall).

Attendance at this conference is MANDATORY. The Bids from those not in attendance will not be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS.

CONTRACTOR LICENSE TYPE REQUIRED – A valid C-27 and C-10 Licenses.
