NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROGRAM
The best way to help "take a bite out of crime" is to get involved! Neighborhood Watch Block Captains are residents who are the extra eyes and ears of the City. Block Captains work with the Public Safety Division and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department to report criminal activity or safety concerns. Becoming a Block Captain is a rewarding experience and it doesn't take a lot of time, just a willingness to be a spokesperson/contact for your block. Remember, crime prevention is a TEAM EFFORT. Neighbors must know each other and report crimes and suspicious activities when they occur. This program works! For more information about Neighborhood Watch contact Crime Prevention Coordinator Laura Tilley at 323/887-4460, ext. 2870.
