Green Cleaning Recipes
 All Purpose Cleaner  Glass Cleaner
 Combine:  Not for windshield cleaning
 1 qt. warm water  1 qt. warm water
 4 Tbsp. baking soda  1/2 C white vinegar
 1 tsp. lemon juice or white vinegar  wipe with newspaper
 1 tsp. castile soap  
Bleach  Disinfectant
 Use for laundry or for bleaching counter tops and sink stains  1 gal. hot water
 1/2 C white vinegar or baking soda  1/2 C baking soda
 Furniture Polish  Spot Removers
 Wood: combine  Berries: rub with table  salt and soak in cold water.
 2 parts vegetable oil  Blood: soak with baking soda and wash with cold water.
 1 part lemon juice  Ketchup/Mustard: rub with 50/50 water and white
 Copper: rub  vinegar mixture, then wash as usual.
 Equal parts of hot vinegar or lemon juice and salt. Rinse  Chewing Gum: place item/clothing in freezer, gum will
 Silver:  peel off easily or soak in white vinegar to remove gum.
 Place a piece of aluminum foil into a bowl filled with one qt. warm water.  Red Wine: rub with table salt and soak in cold water.
 Add 1 tsp. baking soda and 1 tsp. salt.  Ring Around the Collar: rub with vinegar or baking
 Soak utensils  soda, then wash as usual.
 Mildew Cleaner  Toilet Bowl Cleaner
 Keep bathrooms dry and aerated.  Sprinkle a few tablespoons of baking soda in bowl.
 Scrub with baking soda or white vinegar.  Scrub with a brush.
 To reduce mildew regrowth, do not rinse off.  Add a few drops of lemon juice for freshness.
 Vinegar also removes soap film.  
 Drain Opener  Oven Cleaner
 Use plunger or metal snake.  For non self-cleaning ovens:
 Never pour grease down the drain.  Scrub with baking soda and a scouring pad.
 For maintenance, pour 1/4 C baking soda and 1/4 C white vinegar  
 into the sink, let it sit for a few minutes, then flush with a pot of  
 boiling water.
