Receive emergency alerts, advisories and community information from the City of Commerce, via NIXLE, our mass communication system.  Messages are delivered via text, home phone, and/or email.  Options include English, Spanish and your preferred alert types. The service is free (except for cell phone data charges).

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I receive my messages in Spanish?
Yes, you can select a Spanish option. Please note that all messages will be sent in English; however, if a message is sent in Spanish and English, you would receive only the Spanish version.

Can I register my landline?
Yes, but you need to register online at www.nixle.com

Can I receive email messages?
Yes, enter your email address when you register.

Can I opt to receive only emergency alerts?
Yes, set your preferences when you register.

Can businesses register to receive messages?
Yes, we encourage residents, business owners, employees and anyone else who would like to receive information, to register.

Will I still receive a telephone call?
Yes, an audible telephone message will be sent only for EMERGENCY notifications.  All other messages will be sent through text, email, or social media.
