GANG ALTERNATIVE AND PREVENTION PROGRAM (GAPP)
The City of Commerce contracts with the Los Angeles County Probation Department to have a County Probation Officer on staff. The Gang Alternative and Prevention Program provides help to troubled youth and their parents by providing close supervision and positive alternative to juveniles who are in danger of becoming involved in drugs, tagging and street gang activity. The focus is on early intervention and coordination among parents, schools, probation, law enforcement and other community resources.
