The Housing Division administers various programs that provide monetary assistance for City of Commerce residents, including grants and loans.

HOME IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMS
I am a City of Commerce resident who would like to make improvements to my home. Can the City provide me with any monetary assistance?

Yes. The Home Improvement Program is for income eligible homeowners and landlords. The program is designed to correct dangerous and unsightly problems, such as unsafe electrical wiring, leaking roofs, bad plumbing, peeling paint, or aging stucco.
SENIOR AND PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED PROGRAMS

FIRST TIME HOME BUYER PROGRAMS
Available to all income eligible families who either live in Commerce or are moving into Commerce and have not owned a home in the last 3 years. Specific programs have specific limitations for family income and the purchase price of the home. All programs are for home ownership only.
