EMPLOYMENT AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER
Mission Statement

To formally organize a short and long-term strategic partnership plan to deal with the present and future generations of commerce residents, and all people residing in the proximity of commerce who seek meaningful employment.

The Employment and Business Development Center accepts job annoucements from employers and applications for work from the general public and offers job preparation classes to applicants. Applicants are interviewed and matched to open positions by computer and are then referred to jobs or training until a placement is made.

Special Services Offered
The Employment and Business Development Center is a resource for businesses seeking qualified applicants who are local residents. At no cost to the applicant, the Employment and Business Development Center also provides information regarding training and hiring tax incentives.

The Employment and Business Development Center is a resource for job seekers looking for work, training and job preparation.

Special Events Offered
Every first Wednesday of the month the Employment Task Force meets at the North Annex conference room to strategize and network with representatives from employment related agencies.
