COMMUNITY SAFETY SPECIALISTS
The Public Safety Division is comprised of two groups: The Community Safety Specialists and the Animal Control Officers. Together they make up the Public Safety Division of the Community Services Department. Tasked with responding to all non-emergent requests for service from the public, the Community Safety Specialists are all former police officers with varied expertise. The Animal Control officers handle all animal problems within the city.

Comprised of former law enforcement professionals, the Community Safety Specialists are now 10 strong, with more on the way.

Special programs of all sorts abound in the city. The City of Commerce has always been on the cutting edge of community service, from Bicycle Patrol to Animal Control and beyond. The Public Safety Division continues its tradition of public service to residents and businesses within city boundaries.
